Adult Day Trip: Swan Migration & Bus Tour

Fall 2025

Bring your binoculars and get ready to go south as we follow waterfowl, raptors and shorebirds as they migrate to warmer weather. We will start at L.A.R.K. Toy's for a quick stop (coffee and muffin included). Jim Niseen, wildlife tour interpreter, will board the bus, leading the group to that years migration hotspots. Making our way south, lunch will be at Blue Moon Restaurant in Onalaska. After lunch visit the Onalaska Upper Mississippi River National Fish and Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center. Learn about the refuge, view interactive exhibits and explore the River Walk.

Level 3:

  • Expectations: This requires moderate physical activity. Participants should expect a large amount of walking. There will be time to rest between activities. To enjoy this outing, you should be prepared to walk slightly longer distances, climb stairs and tolerate periods of standing, for example on walking tours, sightseeing stops, etc.

    Appropriate for: Most participants beginning with those who are moderately fit, lead semi-active lives, are comfortable participating in long days of activities and expect some moderate physical activity
