2025-26 School Year Classes'25-26 School Year Classes Registration for the 2025-26 school year will open on April 8, 2025 @ 9 a.m. We offer two types of classes: Non-separating: Parent and Child Time: Class includes a parent and child interaction time, circle time with books, songs and activities all designed to enhance a child’s learning. Separating: Parent and Child Time: Class includes a parent and child interaction time, circle time with books, songs and activities all designed to enhance a child’s learning. Parent Time: Parents participate in a discussion led by a licensed parent educator. Children’s Time: While the parents are in the discussion in another room, children are learning through play, activities, songs and literature. Tuition Tuition is based on a sliding fee scale and is pro-rated based on the start date. The cost is for the entire school year and is based on the length of the class. Tour members should expect intermittent walking, with occasional slight inclines and stair climbs, including boarding the motor coach, boat/ferry, tram, etc. There will be some walking to general points of interest. Guests should be able to climb a set of stairs, walk up or down slight slopes and navigate some uneven terrain. Appropriate for: All participants including those with lower mobility and who are comfortable participating in at least three hours of activity per day. Badminton - CoedMiddle School SportsBadminton is a racquet sport played using racquets to hit a shuttlecock across a net. Participants can play in singles or doubles. Activity buses are available after practice for eligible students at 3:45pm. Game days transportation is provided to and from all matches- the bus will not bring students home, individual transportation home will need to be arranged by participants on competition evenings. Space is limited. All Students in grades 6-8 are encouraged to participate. No experience is necessary. Beginning Orchestra - Entering 4th GradeBeginning Summer Orchestra is for students entering 4th grade (or 5th grade) who will be starting the Violin, Viola or Cello. Classes will meet Monday through Thursday for approximately 50 minutes, with additional time for set-up and tuning. All locations will use the same curriculum and you may register for any site. Participants can sign up for any section time or location that works best for them. Please note: Beginning Orchestra enrollment will open Feb 21 at 9am. Beginning Play Mah JonggAdult Activities & EnrichmentLearn to play American style Mah Jongg with instructor Tarri Levine. Tarri shares her passion for Mah Jongg with all participants. This is a great way to learn a popular game and then join in on our three weekly Mah Jongg times for free throughout the year. No need to purchase any equipment, you will borrow tiles and cards during this class. Mah Jongg is played with four players using Mah Jongg tiles and a Mah Jongg card. The goal of the game is to be the first, by picking-up and discarding tiles, to build a hand that matches a designated hand on the National Mah Jongg League card. Rules, strategies and etiquette will be taught and reinforced throughout the learning sessions. Classes will take place at the New Brighton Community Center.Winter/Spring 2026
