MANDATORY Parent/Student Orientation
TBD (approximately 30 minutes)
Orientation will be virtual (an invite will be sent to the student)
Both a parent or guardian and the student must attend the orientation session for each enrolled course.  Priority for both courses will be as follows. First priority: next year's seniors, then juniors, then sophomores who will attend a Mounds View school Fall 2025. 

This is an online course combining office hours and weekly independent coursework. Attendance at the mandatory parent/student orientation is a requirement for the course. This Health course builds and reinforces individual awareness of many health-related issues. Topics of study include mental health and communication, prevention of alcohol, tobacco and other drug use, CPR, human sexuality, and aging and loss. American Red Cross Hands-Only CPR instruction will be provided. This option does not have a CPR certification card. Additional information will be available at the orientation.  Available to students entering grades 10-12.

This course offers .5 credit of compacted curriculum. After completion of the course, students will receive a letter grade which will become part of the student’s transcript.

All students will automatically be placed on a waitlist.  Enrollment is limited. You will receive official confirmation of admittance to the course by March 9th.  Payment for the course will be charged at the time of course confirmation.
