Adult Day Trips - Embark on hassle-free adult day trips across Minnesota. We provide transportation, lunch and cover all tour and ticket expenses. Pick-up location: New Brighton Community Center Winona Marine Art Museum Enjoy a day along the Mississippi River in beautiful Winona! Our first stop is the Minnesota Marine Art Museum, where you’ll explore six galleries of “Great Art Inspired by Water” at your own pace on the museum’s scenic riverside campus. After the museum visit, lunch will be provided at Signatures Restaurant at The Bridges Golf Club. After lunch, we’ll visit the historic Watkins Administration Building to tour the museum and shop for favorites like Watkins pepper, vanilla, and Petro Carbo Salve. Please note: Entry requires climbing one flight of stairs. Rest area breaks will be provided on the way to Winona and on the return trip. AFTER SCHOOL SKI & SNOWBOARD PROGRAM - CHAPERONE RESPONSIBILITIES As a chaperone for the students in the After-School Ski & Snowboard program, you are responsible for the supervision of students participating in the program. This includes while being transported to and from the ski area and while at the ski area or chalet. The number of volunteers needed each year is based on registrations. I understand that submitting my application does not automatically mean that I will be approved. The Community Education office will communicate volunteer schedule needs as registrations firm up. Every applicant must complete a volunteer background check found: communityed.mvpschools.org/youth/skiing-snowboarding 1. Please arrive at your assigned school before the students load buses at 2:30pm (middle school) and 3:15pm (high school). Be sure to check in with your school’s Coordinator in the front lobby (or designated area) each week when you arrive. For the return trip Middle School loads 8-8:15pm; leaving promptly at 8:15pm. High School loads 8:15-8:30pm; leaving promptly at 8:30pm. 2. For liability reasons, students are required to ride their assigned bus both directions. Please take attendance as students board buses to leave school; attendance sheets will be given to the Ski Lead upon arrival in the Bears Den. 3. Upon arrival; help direct students to outdoor ski corrals for equipment storage and upstairs to the Bear Den. Walk through the bus and ensure all students have exited. 4. Chaperones will be assigned to assist in any of the following: lift ticket distribution, rental slip distribution, rental area assistance, ski lesson assistance, hill assistance, and chalet monitor. 5. A one-time fundamental skills group lesson will be provided at 4:30pm for registered middle schoolers and 5pm for registered high schoolers the first two weeks. Check in at the Lesson Counter at Wild Mountain. Students need to sign up ahead of time by calling 651-465-1100 or snowsports@wildmountain.com. Any and all students and chaperones are welcome to take part in the fundamental skills group lesson for either ski or snowboarding. 6. If students would like additional lessons they can be booked and paid for at 651-465-1100 or snowsports@wildmountain.com 7. Report any attendance discrepancies and/or any other problem to your ski lead and school coordinator. 8. There will be a ski lead present both evenings. Make sure to notify the Ski Lead of any incidents or injuries. If you need to contact the lead chaperone please ask a Wild employee to call them on a walkie-talkie. Complete an injury/incident report for even the most minor injury or incident. The Lead Chaperone will determine if a parent should be called. 9. Wild has reserved the Bears Den for our program. Students can keep their belongings in the Den, although the area will be unsupervised. Please encourage students to keep valuables either with them or in a locker. Ski's & Snowboard's should stay outside on the ski corrals. 10. Please use and encourage students to use the ski corral: $1/day or $15/season pass (add-on) 11. During departure, assist students with finding all belongings and leaving the Bears Den clean and tidy. 12. Ski Lead will return the attendance sheet for departure. While loading buses for return trip; attendance will be taken again. This will ensure that only registered students get on the bus, and that the same kids who rode the bus from school are on the bus to return to school at the end of the night. If there is a discrepancy; lead chaperone will assist in finding the missing student or solving the issue. 13. Ski Lead will approve bus departure once the attendance sheet is verified. 14. After returning to school, do a final walk through of the bus. Encourage students to clean up any trash. Make sure all items have been taken. Do not leave until all students have been picked up. Report any extreme tardiness of parents to the Coordinator. 15. Have a great time!

Baby & Me For ages birth - 9 months by September 1, 2026 and Parents. During your Baby and Me class, you will nurture your parent-child relationship with play-and-learn activities. Both you and your baby will discover sensory activities, songs, and movements to enhance baby's brain development. Your licensed teacher will lead discussions on parenting topics that may address feeding, sleeping routines, baby's joys, concerns and more. This is a non-separating class. Learn basic knitting techniques and how to read patterns. You will learn the correct way to hold the needles, count stitches and pick up dropped stitches. Please bring a small scissors and a zippered cloth bag for your course materials. Required materials will be purchased for $20 from the instructor on the first day. Please do not bring your own materials. This class is being hosted in partnership with the city of New Brighton at the New Brighton Community Center.
