Summer band participants will have the option to go to Valleyfair on Friday, July 31, 2026 to perform and spend the day exploring. Students are encouraged to bring their own lunch. Interested parents can apply to chaperone this event. Look for more info to come from your band instructors Deadline to register is Thurs, July 9, 2026 Final timelines will be shared with families prior to this trip during the course of summer. WHAT: Summer Band students will perform at the park in the morning and get to spend the rest of the day enjoying the rides. WHEN: Fri. July 31. Students will meet at 9:00 AM to load the buses at Irondale High school. The concert will take place around 10:30 AM. Buses will leave the park at 4:30 PM and return around 5:15 PM. WHERE: The concert will take place at the Midway Stage. HOW: Students must bring their instrument, music and wear the Summer Band T-shirt. (Trailers will be available for larger instruments and percussion equipment.) COST: $82 covers the cost of student admission, buses and staff fees. $41 Education Benefits Rate for Participants who currently qualify CHAPERONES: Parents can volunteer to chaperone for the day- look for a survey to complete in June if interested. GROUPS: Students will walk around the park in groups. 5th graders will have a chaperone with them throughout the day.
