Tykes TennisSportsDASH Sports Tennis provide participants with introductory experience to the game for tykes in a fun and positive atmosphere. Emphasis is on technique and game play. Key elements of the serve, forehand groundstroke, backhand groundstroke, forehand volley, backhand volley and the overhead smash will be taught and practiced. Participants should wear athletic clothing/shoes, bring a tennis racket and water to drink. If you don’t have a tennis racket, we will provide one for you. Starting SoonUltimate Frisbee CoedMiddle School SportsUltimate Frisbee is a limited-contact team field sport played with a disc (frisbee). Combining the non-stop movement and athletic endurance of soccer with the aerial passing skills of football. A game of Ultimate is played by two teams, points are scored by passing the disc to a teammate in the opposing end zone. Other basic rules: players must not take steps while holding the disc (maintain a pivot), and interceptions and incomplete passes are turnovers. All skill levels are welcome. Activity buses are available after practice for eligible students. Transportation is provided to and from all games- this bus will not bring students home, individual transportation home will need to be arranged by participants on competition evenings. Space is limited. All Students in grades 6-8 are encouraged to participate. No experience is necessary.
