Elementary and secondary chess players are invited to participate in the ""NE Regional Open Chess Final". Whether you participated in a chess club or not in the fall, winter, or spring, you are invited to compete in this short, fun tournament where you can play students from other schools and districts. Time controls will be used when necessary to keep the tournament within time constraints. The format and recognition will be based on the number of registered participants in each grade level and school. Anticipated sections will be Secondary 7th-12th, Invitational Elementary (Top Club Players), Open Elementary K-1st & 2nd-6th. Pre-registration is encouraged, but walk-ins will be accepted. Tournament etiquette and procedures will be explained at the event for players new to tournament play. Players are not eliminated. Everyone plays in each round unless there is a bye because of an odd number of participants. Typically there are 4-5 rounds. Check-in will be 30 minutes before the posted start time. A great way to end the Chess season. Concessions Available: Breakfast, Lunch & Snack Items Supervision will be provided. Parents/guardians are allow to stay, but are not allowed in the playing area and will be asked to wait in the lobby area.

Sewing is not only a lifelong skill, but you can use it to make all kinds of cool things! Make or fix your own clothes. Create a purse, a pillow, a blanket or even a costume. Gain skills and confidence learning hand sewing and machine sewing. Learn basic stitches and start moving toward completing simple projects with patterns. With practice, start designing your own projects! This is an open-ended studio format with guided instruction. Presented by CSGA Enrichment. Challenge your creativity by designing 3D objects and then print your designs. Learn about scale when prototyping a design that is not at full-size. Also design an object that is at functional scale and usable! We will be using 3D printers and CAD software. Design challenges will be based on student experience if they have used the equipment and software previously. Past projects have included model rocket parts, game pieces, tools for LEGO mini figures and so much more! Presented by CSGA Enrichment.
