Basketball Tykes provides players an introductory experience to the great game of basketball through fun skill-based drills and mini-games. Players will be taught how to properly dribble, pass, shoot and play defense in a fun and positive environment. Presented by Dash Sports. Reduced Fees & Financial Assistance:Youth who are residing within the Mounds View Public Schools boundaries and currently qualify for educational benefits and/or free/reduced lunch may be eligible for reduced fees and partial scholarships to qualifying Enrichment & Activities programs. Financial support is provided by the Ralph Reeder Food Shelf, District Community Education Scholarship fund and other community donors. Qualifying Enrichment and Activities will have a Financial Support/Educational Benefits fee rate that is 50% of the full fee for the program. DASH Sports Summer FULL DAY Multi-Sport camp includes fun skills training and games in three sports: Soccer, Basketball, and Flag Football. Athletes will spend roughly 1.5 hours learning and practicing each sport per day. Key sports skills will be taught and practiced in all 3 sports including: dribbling, passing, shooting, defense, and more! Also included daily are fun games such as Dodgeball, Capture the Flag, Kickball, and more! Camp ends with games/scrimmages the final day for each sport, where athletes can showcase their skills. Campers should wear sunscreen, bring a water bottle, lunch, two snacks, and athletic shoes and clothing. All equipment is provided. Presented by DASH Sports. Summer Day Camp Reduced Fees & Financial Assistance: Youth who are residing within District boundaries and currently qualify for educational benefits are eligible for a limited number of sessions per participant at reduced fees for qualifying Summer Day Camps at Turtle Lake. Financial support is provided by the Ralph Reeder Food Shelf, District Community Education Scholarship fund and other community donors.
