Enjoy a trolley trip along a half-mile of track and stop at the car barn to view a photo gallery from the 1800s. A historian from the Excelsior-Lake Minnetonka Historical Society will give a walking tour along three blocks of Water Street in downtown Excelsior. Take time to shop in downtown Excelsior and enjoy quaint shops along Water Street. We will begin our day by having lunch at Maynards Restaurant. Tarri shares her passion for Mah Jongg with all participants. This is a great way to learn a popular game and then join in on our three weekly Mah Jongg times for free throughout the year. No need to purchase any equipment, you will borrow tiles and cards during this class. Mah Jongg is played with four players using Mah Jongg tiles and a Mah Jongg card. The goal of the game is to be the first, by picking-up and discarding tiles, to build a hand that matches a designated hand on the National Mah Jongg League card. Rules, strategies and etiquette will be taught and reinforced throughout the learning sessions. Classes will take place at the New Brighton Community Center.Summer 2025
