Ultimate Frisbee is a limited-contact team field sport played with a disc (frisbee). Combining the non-stop movement and athletic endurance of soccer with the aerial passing skills of football. A game of Ultimate is played by two teams, points are scored by passing the disc to a teammate in the opposing end zone. Other basic rules: players must not take steps while holding the disc (maintain a pivot), and interceptions and incomplete passes are turnovers. All skill levels are welcome. Coaches will use a variety of drills and games to build skills in a fun and positive environment. All boys and girls in grades 6 – 8 are encouraged to participate regardless of skill ability. Activity buses are available to eligible students after practices. Monday/Wednesday is non-competitive; practice and fun in-house games only. All equipment is provided; knee pads are not required for participation.
