Turtle Lake 4th & 5th Grade Choirs - Fall

Choir is a non-audition group with no prior experience necessary. It is a fun way to start the day singing with others and a great way to meet new friends. Students will learn how to sing in 2-3 part harmony and read choral music from many genres and cultures. They will also sometimes have the opportunity to add instrumental accompaniments to their songs. In the spring, students will have the opportunity to sing the National Anthem at a Minnesota Twins Game.

Students entering 4th and 5th grade have the opportunity to join choir with Mr. Steven-Roe.  Choir is a before school activity held once a week. 

• Fourth grade choir meets on Thursdays from 8:05-9:05 A.M.
• Fifth grade choir meets on Tuesdays from 8:05-9:05 A.M.

Students do not need to audition for choir. The Turtle Lake choirs perform a winter concert in January and a spring concert in May, as well as a few other performances throughout the year.

Shoreview Tree Lighting: Mid- November
East Side Choir Festival (5th Grade Only): Jan. 12, 2027
Winter Concert at Chippewa -January 26, 2027

Reduced Fees & Financial Assistance:
Youth who are residing within the Mounds View Public Schools boundaries and currently qualify for educational benefits and/or free/reduced lunch may be eligible for reduced fees and partial scholarships to qualifying Enrichment & Activities programs. Financial support is provided by the Ralph Reeder Food Shelf, District Community Education Scholarship fund and other community donors. Qualifying Enrichment and Activities will have a Financial Support/Educational Benefits fee rate that is 50% of the full fee for the program.
