  • Nordic Walking
    Sports & Recreation

    Nordic Walking is the fun and effective way to take your walk to the next level. The simple addition of poles creates an all body workout complete with upright, balanced posture, improved core strength and a stress-busting rhythm all its own. Learn about the benefits (heart health, weight management, bone density, less pain, more confidence) and the specifics of the poles, followed by instruction on basictechnique and giving it a try. The second class gives us time to become more confident with the poles and really begin to feelthe benefits. This class is appropriate for all levels of fitness. Poles will be available for use during the class and you will be encouraged to walk at a comfortable pace and distance. Put on your walking shoes and come give it a try!

  • Nordic Walking: Beyond Basics
    Sports & Recreation

    This class is designed for the experienced Nordic Walker who would like to review basic technique and focus on taking their walk to the next level of fitness, it is not an introductory class. Come with your questions and learn to get the most out of your poles. We will focus on developing efficient and strong technique to maximize the upper body workout, incorporate HIIT, High Intensity Interval Training options and make sure of individual video for personal feedback.
