K-6 Summer Day Camps at Turtle Lake

Join us for eight weeks of summer day camps in 2024 including both full-day and half-day options for students entering grades K-6. With new instructors, new topics and one centralized camp site, students will be able to try new things, meet new people and grow.
Daily schedule:

Drop-off 8 - 9 a.m.
Morning camp 9 a.m. - noon
Lunch Bunch noon - 1 p.m. (extra $10 per week)
Afternoon camp 1 - 4 p.m. Pick-up 4 - 5 p.m.

MORNING AND AFTERNOON CARE
Reduce some summer stress with our extended morning drop-off hour and afternoon pick-up hour included in your summer camp registration! Campers can be dropped off as early as 8 a.m. and picked up as late as 5 p.m. giving families a little more flexibility in their day.


LUNCH BUNCH
Create a full day of fun with the Lunch Bunch program. For families looking for full-day options, the Lunch Bunch program is a perfect way to connect morning and afternoon camps. Lunch Bunch provides a supervised lunch hour and playground time. Students are required to bring their own lunch. Registration is in addition to camp registration, and the cost is $10 per week. Lunch Bunch is required for all participants enrolled in both morning and afternoon sessions.

FIELD TRIP FRIDAYS
Experience high-quality supervision and a new field trip destination every Friday with our Field Trip Fridays! Field trips are $65 per field trip and require students to bring a bag lunch. Drop-off is at Turtle Lake Elementary School from 8 - 9 a.m. with pick-up from 4:30 - 5 p.m.

We ask that you help us by following the guidelines below:

• K-6 summer day camp participants enrolled in day camps at Turtle Lake will be checked in and out of the camp by a parent/guardian or caregiver unless otherwise noted. Be prepared to show a photo ID.
• Please make sure that your emergency contact information is current and any accommodation/medical needs are included in your child’s registration.
• Please complete your camper information form when it is emailed to you in April.


MIDDLE SCHOOL SUMMER DAY CAMPS at CHIPPEWA & HIGHVIEW

Embark on an unforgettable summer with our NEW middle school day camps, specifically crafted for older students entering grades six and above. Choose from dynamic full-day and half-day options, each led by experienced instructors. With an array of engaging topics and a two rotating middle school sites, this summer promises opportunities for exploration, new connections, and personal development.

Dive into a summer of excitement and growth tailored for students in grades 6 and beyond!

GROUP LUNCH
For families looking for full-day options, the Group Lunch program is a perfect way to connect morning and afternoon camps. Group Lunch provides a supervised lunch hour, free time in the cafeteria and gym. Students are required to bring their own lunch. Registration is in addition to camp registration, and the cost is $10 per week.

Students will be asked to sign in upon arrival.
• At the beginning of each camp session, our staff will call parents/guardians for any participant absences that we have not been notified of.
• Please make sure that your emergency contact information is current and any accommodation/ medical needs are included in your participant's registration.
• Please complete your participant’s information form when it is emailed to you in April.

  • Orchestra Instrument Rental

    This course is for students who selected the option to rent an instrument from the school. enrolling in this course pays the instrument rental fee and ensures students have an instrument for their summer band course. District instrument rental is available based on student need as identified by their Band DirectorStudents who play French Horn, Baritone or Tuba are encouraged to rent 2 instruments from school (one stays at home, one stays at school. Other school instruments may be available for rental for students who qualify for free/reduced lunch. The rental fee covers the summer and a full year of school. Band director's approval required as supplies last.
  • Floor Hockey Tykes

    DASH Sports Floor Hockey Tykes camps provide little athletes an introductory hockey experience covering a broad range of skills training and skill-based games. Players will be taught how to properly stickhandle, pass, and shoot in a fun and positive environment. Athletes should bring a water bottle and wear athletic clothing & shoes. Sticks and pucks are provided. Parent participation is required for the 2-3yr old age group and recommended when needed for the 4+ year old age group. Reduced Fees & Financial Assistance: Youth who are residing within the Mounds View Public Schools boundaries and currently qualify for educational benefits and/or free/reduced lunch may be eligible for reduced fees and partial scholarships to qualifying Enrichment & Activities programs. Financial support is provided by the Ralph Reeder Food Shelf, District Community Education Scholarship fund and other community donors. Qualifying Enrichment and Activities will have a Financial Support/Educational Benefits fee rate that is 50% of the full fee for the program.
