Twist, Turn, Solve: Master the Rubik’s Cube!Science, Technology, Engineering and MathLed by a speed-cuber and Rubik's ambassador, this course supports all skill levels. Learn the basic steps or become a speedcuber! Explore a range of twisty puzzles, from easy to challenging, compete, create mosaics, assemble a custom cube, build a Rubik's Cube Solving robot, and use Bluetooth & electronic cubes! Provided 3x3s and detailed instructions are yours to keep! Presented by Cubing Enrichment. PopularMath Masters - Turtle lakeScience, Technology, Engineering and MathThe Math Masters mathematics competition program challenges 5th grade students to use critical thinking and problem-solving skills in mathematics. The program will begin with four weeks of preparation sessions, twice weekly. Students will complete practice tests to become familiarized with the formatting and difficulty of the various tests. These sessions will also be used to review the answers and discuss the solutions and strategies involved. On the day of the competition, students compete as individuals and on teams in 7-8 rounds of competition. Their academic effort and achievement will be recognized with plaques, medallions and ribbons. Math Masters participants will compete on Friday, April 25th in Shoreview. Transportation will be provided, and families are welcome to attend the event as spectators. Though there is no specific requirement for participation, participants should have a passion for solving challenging mathematics problems and be willing to work both individually and as a team with other participants. PopularTinkerCAD Design & 3D PrintingScience, Technology, Engineering and MathChallenge your creativity by designing 3D objects and then print your designs. Learn about scale when prototyping a design that is not at full-size. Also design an object that is at functional scale and usable! We will be using 3D printers and CAD software. Design challenges will be based on student experience if they have used the equipment and software previously. Past projects have included model rocket parts, game pieces, tools for LEGO mini figures and so much more! Presented by CSGA Enrichment.
