  • Band Instrument Rental

    This course is for students who selected the option to rent an instrument from the school. Enrolling in this course pays the instrument rental fee and ensures students have an instrument for their summer band course. District instrument rental is available based on student need as identified by their Band Director. Students who play French Horn, Baritone or Tuba are encouraged to rent 2 instruments from school (one stays at home, one stays at school). Other school instruments may be available for rental for students who qualify for Educational Benefits. The rental fee covers the summer and a full year of school. Band director's approval required as supplies last.

  • Fitness Training

    Basic fitness training principles will be incorporated into this program, which is designed to help students increase their cardiovascular endurance, strength and agility. All students in grades 6 – 8 are encouraged to participate. Fitness training meets from 2:30 - 3:40pm on Monday and Wednesday. Activity Buses are available to qualified students at 3:45pm.     All swimmers are welcome to swim with friends and work on improving stroke, Skill-building, strength and conditioning plus competitions. Activities will not meet on non-school days. Activity buses are available after practice for eligible students. Game day busing will bring all students to host school departing at 2:35pm and return remaining students to their home school ONLY by 5:30pm. Please bring a swimsuit, towel and water bottle.     Participants will choose from a wide variety of fun options such as Big Base, dodgeball, basketball, floor hockey, capture the flag and more. All boys and girls in grades 6 – 8 are encouraged to participate. Activity buses are available to eligible students after practices.   • Table Tennis - Coed (Chippewa Only)

    Participants will learn the correct technique for serving and will practice basic table tennis strokes including forehand drive, backhand drive, forehand push and backhand push. Fun in-house competitions will challenge students to put their new skills to the test individually and in pairs. Open to all students 6 - 8th grade. No experience is needed. This is offered at Chippewa only, there will be no competitions with the other schools. Activity buses are available at 3:45pm for qualified students.     Flag Football - Coed

    Intramural Flag football is coed and all students in grades 6-8 are encouraged to participate. The game of flag football is a fast-paced, non-contact game played between teams of seven players. Each player on the offense and defense wears a set of flags. "Tackles" are made by pulling the flag out of the belt. All physical contact is strictly monitored for the safety of the players. Activities will not meet on non-school days. Acitvity buses are avaialble after practice for eligible students. Game day busing will bring all participants to host school departing at 2:35pm and return remaining students to their home school ONLY by 5:30pm.     Northeast Regional Open Chess Final Tournament

    Elementary and secondary chess players are invited to participate in the ""NE Regional Open Chess Final". Whether you participated in a chess club or not in the fall, winter, or spring, you are invited to compete in this short, fun tournament where you can play students from other schools and districts. Time controls will be used when necessary to keep the tournament within time constraints. The format and recognition will be based on the number of registered participants in each grade level and school. Anticipated sections will be Secondary 7th-12th, Invitational Elementary (Top Club Players), Open Elementary K-1st & 2nd-6th. Pre-registration is encouraged, but walk-ins will be accepted. Tournament etiquette and procedures will be explained at the event for players new to tournament play. Players are not eliminated. Everyone plays in each round unless there is a bye because of an odd number of participants. Typically there are 4-5 rounds. Check-in will be 30 minutes before the posted start time. A great way to end the Chess season. Concessions Available: Breakfast, Lunch & Snack Items Supervision will be provided. Parents/guardians are allow to stay, but are not allowed in the playing area and will be asked to wait in the lobby area.

  • Youth Wrestling

    The youth wrestling program is designed to be an introductory wrestling program for elementary & Middle School students. The program will focus on teaching kids the basic fundamental skills, techniques and rules of wrestling through fun games and activities. Elementary participants will also be able to compete in an end-of-the-season in-house tournament. Presented by Chris Litecky
  • Collectible Card, RPG, & Strategy Games Club

    Take strategy gaming to the next level! Play challenging and popular games like Catan, Pandemic, 7 Wonders, Splendor, Evolution, and Godsforge. Role Playing & Collectable Card Games are run by students. Playing games develops analysis, problem solving, communication, and negotiation skills and…it’s also great fun!     Learn basic robotics skills such as; programming, construction, testing and design while you create robots that solve specific challenge problems generated during the program. You will be using scratch coding and Lego Spike Prime as your tools while problem solving with robotics. Presented by CSGA Enrichment.     Project Knit

    Hats, scarfs, blankets and more! Keep yourself warm this year by learning to make your own hat, scarf or blanket. Students will learn basic skills in beginning knitting and crocheting to create a basic project. Tools and materials for knitting will be provided.     Interested in RC Cars? Want to try racing them on a track? Then come join us as we explore what makes them work and get to try them out. Participants will leave with a better understanding and get some time testing out their driving skills on a few different types of RC Cars. Participants can use RC Cars provided or their own on approval.
