5th & 6th Grade Summer Orchestra 2025 -Twins Game and National Anthem Performance
5th and 6th Grade orchestra students who are currently in the Mounds View Summer Orchestra 2025 program will have the opportunity to perform the National Anthem at the MN Twins game (MN Twins vs New York Yankees) on Tuesday, Sept 16th at Target Field in Minneapolis. ALL PERFORMERS and guests will need to purchase a ticket.When purchasing a ticket, select the Name of your orchestra student and the option of either ticket only or ticket with transportation. You will enter the QUANTITY OF TICKETS needed in your cart before checkout. If choosing a ticket only without bus transportation, you are responsible for providing your own transportation to and from Target Field. Busing will be available to and from the game if purchasing a ticket with transportation. Bus will depart Irondale at 4:45pm and return by 8:30pm. Prices include a service fee. Please call the Community Education office for information. 651-621-6020. All students need to be accompanied by an adult family member at the game. Bowling - Irondale Team
BOWL WITH THE ID KNIGHTS The Irondale Bowling Team is for students in grades 7-12 who enjoy bowling and have a desire to improve their skills. No Experience is necessary. (Coed Team) Practices begin August 11th. We practice at Flaherty's on Mondays from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. Competitions are held on Fridays at 3:30 pm starting in September at area Bowling Centers. The Irondale Bowling team competes in the Minnesota High School Bowling League. The season wraps up in mid-December. Note: We will order jerseys for those bowlers who are new to the team or those who need a new jersey. These will be ordered at the start of the season, and you will be expected to pay an additional fee for the jerseys at the time of the order. Welcome new and returning athletes to the MV Clay Target Club registration site. We are looking forward to an exciting Fall session. This co-ed program is offered under the administration of the MN High School Clay Target League. You must be a registered 9-12 grade student at MVHS.Please follow these steps to complete your registration for MV Clay Target Club:1. New team members interested in participating must notify the team coach for access prior to registering. Please email mvclaytargetclub@gmail.com to obtain the access code/information for registration on the League Site. Returning athletes will be sent an email for registration from the league. (please email the team coach, if any problems)2. Once the coach has given you access, registration instructions will be provided by email. Everyone who was previously on the email list will automatically receive registration instructions by August 15th, 2025. If you have any problems, please send a note to mvclaytargetclub@gmail.com.3. After you receive the registration instructions, register on the Mounds View Community Education (MVCE) website by noon on September 08, 2025. Ultimate Frisbee Coed
Ultimate Frisbee is a limited-contact team field sport played with a disc (frisbee). Combining the non-stop movement and athletic endurance of soccer with the aerial passing skills of football. A game of Ultimate is played by two teams, points are scored by passing the disc to a teammate in the opposing end zone. Other basic rules: players must not take steps while holding the disc (maintain a pivot), and interceptions and incomplete passes are turnovers. All skill levels are welcome. Activity buses are available after practice for eligible students. Irondale Clay Target Club - Coed
Clay Target Registration Fall 2025 Registration for the Irondale fall Clay Target team is now open to all Irondale, Edgewood, and Highview students 12 years old through 12th grade. To learn more about the sport, go to mnclaytarget.com Our team shoots Trap on Sunday afternoons at 1:00. Skeet and Sporting Clays will be scheduled in the morning or the afternoon, beginning as early as 10:00. Athletes pay a registration fee and provide their own ammunition and shotgun. Each discipline requires 2 boxes of shells per week. Athletes must have their Firearm Safety certification before participation. Before registering, please consider the commitment. Understandably, an athlete may not make it every week, but the expectation is that an athlete shoots with the team on Sundays. Turtle Lake 4th & 5th Grade Choirs
Choir is a non-audition group with no prior experience necessary. It is a fun way to start the day singing with others and a great way to meet new friends. Students will learn how to sing in 2-3 part harmony and read choral music from many genres and cultures. They will also sometimes have the opportunity to add instrumental accompaniments to their songs. In the spring, students will have the opportunity to sing the National Anthem at a Minnesota Twins Game. Students entering 4th and 5th grade have the opportunity to join choir with Ms. Crockett. Choir is a before school activity held once a week. Fourth grade choir meets on Thursdays from 8:05-9:05 A.M. Fifth grade choir meets on Tuesdays from 8:05-9:05 A.M. Students do not need to audition for choir. The Turtle Lake choirs perform a winter concert in January and a spring concert in May, as well as a few other performances throughout the year. Fencing is a fun and intense sport that teaches your child quick reactions, excellent coordination and self-discipline of their mind and body. This camp uses the SNAG (Starting New At Golf) program, designed especially for young golfers, to teach the basics of putting, chipping, pitching, and driving. With colorful, kid-sized equipment made for smaller hands and growing skills, campers will build confidence while having a blast!. Babysitting & CPR Training
Learn the skills and knowledge to be a safe babysitter for infants up to children 10 years of age! You will learn how to stay safe, play with kids, handle household emergencies, feeding and bath time and given resources on how to market your babysitting services. You will even get certified in CPR and AED training. A collaborative class with St. Anthony Community Services. Bring a snack/lunch to eat that day. -
Tykes T-Ball
Looking for a fun introduction to baseball? DASH Sports baseball Tykes camp introduces players to key elements of throwing, fielding/catching, batting, and baserunning. The final day of classes is ‘Game Day’ and athletes will showcase their skills in a game environment. Athletes should bring a water bottle and a baseball glove. Baseballs and bats are provided. Parent participation is recommended when needed.
